Have you heard of this? I guess it's the gift you recieve from your significant other after you push the bun out of the oven? What should I ask for? One of the Housewives on Real Housewives of Orange County asked for a Bentley....

Will has been telling me that he really wants grow his hair out for our wedding. So I'm siting at work and I get this picture via text message:

So I guess he was trying to trim himself up a bit and he forgot to put the guard back on....yep...baldspot..and apparently so big that he was left with no option but to shave his whole head....and boy was he bald. 

Don't worry little Brookie. We both have nice, thick, luxurious hair and I won't ever cut yours so you won't have to worry about little mishaps like above.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! 3/22

My birthday this year was AWESOME!! It was however a little different than the past few years where my birthday would consist of popping bottles and pretending like I am an extra in a hip hop video. But do not despair...the day was still amazing! We found out today that we are having a GIRL!!!! We were a little sneaky....I had a doctor's appointment that morning and we tugged on the Dr,'s heartstrings a little saying it was my birthday and how it was my only day off for a while (both true!) and that if it was possible we wanted to find out the sex that day. So a few calls were made and we were off to the ultrasound clinic! Lots of images were taken and finally I saw the tech write 'Think Pink' at the top of the page! Will was too busy looking for the twig and berries that he didn't notice!

We were both thinking the baby would probably be a boy so this was a shock! We are both so happy! Will has been daydreaming about sitting at the NBA draft while our 'son' was drafted first round. Now he is determined to turn our daughter into the first Puerto Rican/Vietnamese/Irish WNBA superstar!

We decided to name her Brooklyn MaiLan Aviles. Quite a mouthful for a little girl, but she'll be ok:)

We did some shopping after we found out we were having a girl and I saw the cutest Tutu! Will made me put it back, telling me that we needed to buy things that the baby needed first. When I opened my birthday gift later he had gone back and bought the tutu for me...I mean Brooke. :)

And then the next day I walked into the living room and he was putting the tutu on our dog Jackie. LOL!

A few weeks old....Sonogram taken at 12 weeks and 2 days. I am 14 weeks now.

Happy Valentines Day!!

Happy Valentines Day!! 

This is our 3rd Valentine's Day together...but our first as PARENTS!! Just started my 2nd trimester. So far I don't feel any different. My clothes are getting tighter and my face looks bloated but that is not little pineapple's fault. That is me eating way too much sugar and snacks. From now on I'm eating healthy!! (Or at least I'll try...LOL) I also have to start working out more. I took it easy 1st trimester because I worried a lot...but now it's time to move! (I'll try to work on that too!) I'm pretty sure my bad headaches have been due to way too much sugar. Being that today is Valentine's Day, I'm using this as a last day out of control and starting tomorrow I'm going to be a good Mommy and treat my little lime (that is how big the baby is now) well!! Sooo just to torture myself...here are the yummy things I'm going to give up for the next 6 months. Beloved Filet-O-Fish...you will be missed. 

 This is my FAVORITE. I could eat one of these every day. I know that is gross and this is most likely not even real fish but just looking at the picture is making my mouth water and I really want to walk 2 blocks to the McDonalds across campus and buy 4 of these...lets move on before I do something I will regret...

How weird is it that before being pregnant I was not really a cake person. Now, I crave cake- any kind of cake. Birthday cake, cupcakes etc...LOL! And of course there are like 6 girls in my office who are amazing bakers that bring in goodies weekly! I was good and said NO to a cupcake today! Go me!

Also, like cake, before I was pregnant I was not a huge pizza person. NOW every time I see a pizza commercial on T.V or open the mailbox and see a coupon I want to pick up my phone and order a deep dish, Hawaiian pizza with added onions.

Now that I have officially tortured myself and grossed you out....Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Is it me...or is EVERYONE and their mother preggers?? I personally know 6 people right now who are knocked up. LOL! 2011=BABYBOOM!!

Pregnancy Journal. What to Expect when You're Expecting and some other scary book that I will have to read. Harry Potter #4 will have to wait.....until August!

Glamour Magazine Vs. What to Expect.....

Uh ooh. Is Motherhood kicking in? At lunch I found myself looking thru What to Expect when you're Expecting instead of my beloved Glamour magazine. This book frightens the living daylights out of me. Hopefully 3/4 of the stuff in this book does NOT happen to me. I am literally sweating.

I found pre-natal vitamins that are CHEWABLE! So happy. I CANNOT do those horsepills.

Once again....how did the baby end up blonde? That's ok. We can dye our hair together. :)

I just had to do it. I uploaded our faces and came up with this.....I could only do it once. I'll try for a girl tomorrow. LOL!

P.S. How did the baby get red hair? And the o-so-creepy hairdo? 

First Ultrasound Picture!

Happy Hump Day! Today was the first ultrasound. We got to see the baby & it's heartbeat! Very surreal! We were both very worried all night that there may not be a heartbeat so it was a relief. They measured the length and I am 8 weeks and 1 day. So only 32 more weeks to go. LOL. 
The arrow is pointing to the baby and the circle is a Tory Burch purse, or a basketball according to Will. haha. It is actually the yoke sack- what the baby feeds off of. Soon it will go away and the placenta will take over (eeek! scary word!)

New Addition....Not Mine!

Cute picture of Will and his new newphew Jacob! Jacob is Wills sister's baby...a week old and look at that head of hair. I like the little sack he is in.

Will: Um...I think the line is too light. Let me see the directions

Me: I have another pregnancy test. This one was not on sale and it's digital so no stupid blue line.

Will:  OK

Me & Will: OMG. We're having a baby.
